
Objectives
- To share the experience and learnings of Asia’s youth representative in the 4th Rural Youth Festival in Brasilia including the preliminary session with the international delegation, the festival sharing of international delegates, the culminating march, and the declaration crafted and submitted by the international delegation in the 4th RYF in Brasilia
- To improve the understanding of Pillar 2 of the UN Decade of Family Farming: “Intergenerational Dialogue”, and how young people can engage in its implementation as it relates to the event in Brazil and the work of ILC Asia Family Farming Platform.
- Enhance the comprehension of how the Decade of Family Farming can serve as a dynamic advocacy tool, empowering young farmers and their inherent rights to land.
- To build on the living working document of the Youth and Land Asia Reference Group that contains its priorities, desired outcomes (changes in policy, behavior, knowledge), and proposed activities.
