In 2007, ILC launched a regionalisation process in its three main regions, including Asia. Since then, the network has strengthened in numbers and been helping communities secure their land rights across the region.
Our 2022-2030 Strategy focuses on three major shifts: shifting power back to people, shifting attention to land rights and shifting focus on data-driven advocacy for accountability.
All ILC members sign on to a pledge of upholding gender justice by supporting women’s participation and leadership within our network and defending land and environmental defenders who are criminalised, intimidated and marginalised for advocating change.
