Locally-managed ecosystems

NIPT was formally established in 2007 to serve as a coordination and cooperation mechanism, as well as cam- paign for these issues and raise awareness amongst the general public. Following this, the Network has partnered with related organizations called Council of Indigenous Peoples in Thailand (CIPT) in drafting laws to promote in- digenous rights. The CIPT was established in2010.Since then, NIPT has been working in parallel with CIPT.
