Mission
Support and facilitate CSOs and development partners to work on land issues, and promote cooperation through dialogue and engagement on land, governance research, policy and practice. Provide a platform for members to exchange expertise, experiences, facilitate information sharing and policy influencing at regional and central level and between partners/members.
Objectives
1: Build connections and trust, develop spaces and channels of communication, share knowledge for dialogue and engagement in land governance issues.
2: Mainstream grassroots implementation of land rights through mobilization of members and other stakeholders
3: Promote policy dialogue among multiple stakeholders to improve land tenure security
Constituencies
LIWG is a civil society network with over 90 core and supporting organisational members and 300 individual members.
LIWG has existed in the Lao PDR since 2007 with a Secretariat established in 2011.It maintains a semi-formal status in Laos, and has an established governance structure and constitution.
